State Association

• New South Wales Apiarists’ Association – The New South Wales Apiarists’ Association Inc. (NSWAA) is the state peak body for commercial beekeepers. They are committed to ensuring the future of the beekeeping industry, and represents its members in liaison with government, media and the general community.
• Amateur Beekeepers Association of NSW – The ABA is an essential resource to the amateur beekeeper, with their objective being to help members develop their knowledge and skills as beekeepers, and generally to promote the importance of bees and benefits of beekeeping as a hobby.

Identifying Pests and Disease

Every beekeeper should be familiar with established pests, the symptoms they cause and how to control them.

• Bee Biosecurity Online Training – As well as being a wonderful resource on the honey bee, Plant Health Australia also offers Bee Biosecurity Online Training through several short online courses.
