Products
Are Nuplas hive components compatible with standard timber hives?
Yes. Nuplas products are designed to be compatible with standard Australian beehive dimensions, so you can mix and match with your existing timber equipment or transition gradually.
What material are Nuplas hives made from?
Our hive components are precision-molded from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) — the same food-safe, BPA-free plastic used in cutting boards and food containers. It's UV-stabilised to handle extreme Australian sun exposure.
Do I need to paint or treat Nuplas components?
No - that's one of the biggest advantages. Unlike timber, Nuplas plastic never needs painting, sanding, or chemical treatment. Simply wash down with water when needed.
How long will Nuplas hives last?
Our components are engineered to last decades. The UV-stabilised HDPE resists cracking, warping, fading, and rotting in all Australian conditions.
Are Nuplas products suitable for cold climates?
Yes. Our material remains structurally sound from -10°C to 60°C, making it suitable for alpine and southern Australian winters as well as tropical summers.
Orders & Shipping
How long does delivery take?
Most orders are dispatched within 2-4 business days from our Swan Hill facility. Delivery times vary by location: VIC 1–3 days, NSW/SA/QLD 3–5 days, WA/NT/TAS 5–8 days.
Do you ship to all Australian states?
Yes — we ship Australia-wide to every state and territory. We don't currently ship internationally through our online store. If you're in the United States, you can buy Nuplas products through our US distributor, Mann Lake.
What are your shipping costs?
Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your order total. Freight prices start at $50.
For small packages, contact us direct for pricing.
Can I track my order?
Yes. Once dispatched, you'll receive a tracking number via email so you can follow your order every step of the way.
Returns & Warranty
What is your returns policy?
We accept returns on unused, undamaged items within 30 days of purchase. Please contact us first to arrange a return. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty.
What if my item arrives damaged?
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days with photos and we'll arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you.
Do Nuplas products come with a warranty?
Yes. Our hive components come with a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects. This covers structural failures under normal beekeeping use.
Beekeeping
I'm a beginner — where should I start?
We recommend starting with one of our Complete Setup packages, which include everything you need to get started.
Do you offer advice on hive management?
While we're primarily a hive equipment supplier, our team are passionate beekeepers themselves. Feel free to reach out via our Contact page — we're always happy to chat.
Can I use Nuplas equipment for commercial beekeeping?
Absolutely. Many of Australia's largest commercial beekeeping operations use Nuplas equipment. The durability and low maintenance requirements make it especially cost-effective at scale.
